Parelli Clinic      May 18-20 Thamesford Ontario

Three of the SVGR personnel and 3 of our horses participated in this Level 1 Parelli course. From a tiring and frustrating Day 1 to an overwhelming successful Day 3, both riders and horses had grown leaps and bounds in their 'horsemanship'....I'm not so sure who got more of the workout, but pictures don't lie....Congrats on a job well done guys....

Breeders Clinic      June  1-3  Cardiff, Wales

Hosted by the legendary 'Tom Price' together with Westhill Ranches of New York, a limited number of breeders took advantage of a great opportunity to learn from the one of the best.  Focusing on breeding elements such as the goals of a breeding program, the criteria for a great stallion, what does the mare contribute, when to geld or not, what to look for in your new foal and much more, we took in all we could through the abundant sampling of Tom's personal herd.  With ample time to spend with the 'master' himself, this first time ever clinic was a huge success in every way.  A very special thanks to Jorge & Kristina Rodriguez for the hours and vision to plan this event.... to Andrea of MeadowFarms UK for all the running around and prep on the UK side and of course, the gypsy master himself, Tom Price......Thanks and let's do it again.

Appleby        June 4-7   Appleby by Westmorland

With the great plan to have the Breeder's Clinic coincide with the world reknowned Appleby Fair, most of the breeders decided to stay to experience this annual event.  After basking in unusually warm temperatures at the clinic, we were sent into pre-winter shock with cold, wet weather at Appleby.  But not even these cold temperatures, deterred some from the traditional horse wash in the river and the march up the road to the Appleby Fair.  For us, it was even more memorable as we walked, ran and drove side by side as Tom Price led his large herd of quality horses up the road to 'millionaires corner'.  It was clearly evident that he is recognized not only for his outstanding quality of horses, but for his reputable, honest business dealings. We made many new friends with whom we shared our love for this wonderful breed.  Together we can only hope to promote and preserve the breed as it was intended, as it's popularity in North America continues to grow.
